On the east coast of Australia we have been getting huge swells from storms off the coast plus plenty of rain, that is where these swells are coming from

I was in Maui until the 17th, I don't surf (wish I did) but I felt the stoke for the rippers! Love seeing these videos of people getting it!

Seldom does that wave break but when the south swell hits just right the top boys on the island showup ..

My family had no idea of the swell that was coming through and we went to Makena beach just before it closed on that Saturday. The waves were huge. As we left some people told us to go to La Perouse location. We made it through some small rocks on the way and took some insane video of the waves on the lava rock trail. Things began to get out of control and we headed back. The hairpin turn you filmed where you have to time the waves to make the curve had us terrified. I never get scared driving but for a thirty second segment while waiting I almost told everyone to get out of the van and climb over the wall. Large rocks everywhere…thought for sure we were going to get stuck or break something. Exhilarating and something we will NEVER forget.
