If you are active on social media, no doubt you have encountered the mannequin challenge that is spreading like wildfire. The challenge started at a high school where teens froze in various scenes throughout school growns and now the challenge has spread to being taken on by everyone from Sir Paul McCartney, to Beyonce, to Blac Chyna mid labor. And for whatever reason an ongoing theme throughout many of the challenges is the use of Rae Sremmurd’s hit anthem, “Black Beatles.”
Which brings me to our first favorite on the list that features Paul McCartney posed at a piano. He posted his video on social media with the caption – “Love those Black Beatles #MannequinChallenge.”
When one of the actual Beatles gives a shout out to your song that references the Beatles, it’s a good day.
Next up is Adele who pulled off the challenge flawlessly at a saloon.
Next up is Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors who teamed up with his wife, Ayesha Curry for the challenge that involved an entire restaurant! Check it out:
It’s actually really eerie if you imagine it happening in real life. Like imagine being the only person in real time while the rest of the world is frozen. Yeah no thanks.
James Corden and the entire staff at the Late Late Show also teamed up for the challenge while giving a behind the scenes tour of the studio.
Then my girl Beyonce reunited with Destiny’s Child for a simple execution of the mannequin challenge, but when is it not awesome to see these three together.
I just want to be invited to the party. Just once. These next two may not be celebrity filled but they had to go on our list because the difficulty in this next one is off the charts.
I hold a split for two seconds and start shaking. That was some next level agility. And if you thought that was impressive check out this next one posted by Zach King where they are literally defying the laws of gravity.
How? I’m loving the levels of commitment. And speaking of commitment, I have a lot of favorites but the fact that Blac Chyna and the Kardashians did the challange during Chyna’s labor is the comedic relief I need in my life right now.
