I’ve had a 16 foot wave with a four foot thick lip twist my body to head first, it was slow motion falling down into water I could see the sand thru. And it was the worst beating I’ve had, stuck my hand into the sand once the beating stopped, push up the shore to be dragged out two more time and pounded. Had a human chain of people pull me out. Was my last wave of a 3 hour session on my very first time at the wedge.. late 90’s
