THROW THE RENTAL MODEM IN THE TRASH So as far as 3rd party modem/routers combos go, this as a refurbished purchase almost feels like a steal. There is good 5G signal throughout the entire apartment (1050′ squared space) so there is no lack of highspeed connection, and the standard wifi would probably reach much further if the 5G were not so reliable. As far as being able to be used by the ISP, I currently have Suddenlink and the set up from the technician took less than 10 minutes each time it needed to be set up after moving…

I’m sorry but the one star reviews are stupid, this is a PRODUCT REVIEW on HOW WELL THE PRODUCT WORKS. If you received a modem with the MAC address already being used then you have a problem with a person who sold you the unit. Anyway, I purchased this unit Refurbished from TECHARVARD, MAC address was clean. Time Warner cable is rolling out TWC MAXX in my area and I had a rental modem from them, MAN I WISH I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THIS SOONER, come to find out they already rolled it out in my area…

I was in the market for a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem to eliminate the monthly $10 rental fee on a family member’s bill and I stumbled across this refurbished unit on Amazon, which was at the time of purchase less than the half the amount for a brand new one.
