Biggest in 50yrs says the 25yr old. I've been out in at least 10 swells from 85 to 2016 that were bigger.

50 years? Guess you weren’t around for 97-98 El Niño. Central/northern west coast. So much energy, power and size, had to travel daily to find the spot that was holding the best. Nothing like that entire winter since 1969.

That last time we had a big north or northwest swell was around 8 to 10 or years ago .

Big yes but biggest in 50 years? When the Huntington Beach pier was knocked down it was much much bigger, the Seal beach south jetty also had huge waves breaking in the mouth of the jetty and the oil rig outside that had waves breaking between the legs of the rig. Big last week yes – but biggest in 50 years no stinkin way – I was there.
