Hi Pal, I know what you mean. I'm a Aussie and as a young guy we surfed off Cronulla Point, just south of Sydney. The point worked at 8 to 12 foot and taking off on a wave at that place was such a high…..looking down was like throwing yourself off a building. But we did it and it was great. 3 years later most of us got drafted and I finished up as a grunt with Australian Infantry in South Vietnam. I never surfed again. So it goes.
