I have been using these for my surfboards for about a year now. I never use wax anymore. It is an expensive way to put grip on your board but I think it is worth it. I have used them in warm water with just a sun shirt and bathing suit and had no rubbing issues. I also use some HexaTraction Clear Surf Grip on my boards around these pads to help with grip but keep the weight down. I can use only one set and the rear pad along with some of the HexaTraction grip towards the front to reduce weight…
