I think these straps are just ok. they hold nicely, and the padded clasp is nice, but the way they are designed, it’s a bit of a chorse to fish the strap through the buckle. Maybe this will get better with time, I found them to be more difficult to use than past tie-downs. Also, 12 feet is LONG. If you are just using this for surfboards, or paddleboards, or even kayaks, there is a lot of extra strap to deal with. I had to cut mine down, and “burn” the edge to make it easier to use,…
Straps are well made with a solid buckle that has neoprene cover to protect cargo. I only use these to haul surf or paddle boards, 1-3 at a time and the tighten down nice secure.Only problem when strapping down boards is that if you don’t run the straps to where the buckle ends up at the front, towards the hood, there is a lot of intolerable noise at anything over 35mph.Now with that said, there is still some noise even with the buckle placed in the front, just not as…
