Featuring the big wave life of Belgium surfer Jochen Ghysels

He’s not the world’s best big wave surfer but he does put his heart on his sleeve. All up this man has a great story.

How does a young bloke from Belgium become a guy that wants to surf the biggest waves on the planet. This edit i filmed around Nazare will tell you.

Jochen lives for surfing big waves and the way he does it will surprise you and its not all about training, holding your breath and having big Kahuna’s.

Below is a couple links on what he’s talking about & how he achieves his goals relating to his strict Alkaline Diet.
Also there is a list of what he recommends if you want to follow his suggestions. I did give it a go but I wasent that dedicated..

Jochen’s suggestions.
I would recommend to add a spoon of Irish Sea Moss Gel to your smoothies in the morning and drink one of these Teas during the day with 2 glasses of water.

It Will improve your Life significantly!-)

I would usually mix the first ones of the list as they can be cooked for a longer time;)

Then turn off the gas fire and add the last ones of the list to GET a POTENT BREW!

Sarsaparilla
Burdock root
Soursop Leaf
Ginger
Elderberry
Fucus
Nettle
Sage
Dandelion

Chamomile
Tila
Raspberry Leaf
Elderberry
Verbena

Great piece on an amazing human being full of love, passion and life. I had the pleasure a few years back to spend some time with Jochen in Naza and witness first had his commitment and love for big wave surfing. He's not sponsored, he's not into the whole media thing and he is 100% on a mission. I will not be surprised if one day he rides one of the biggest paddle waves ever in Naza and gives us all one big smile at the end! Lets go Jochen, keep the dream alive! Love u brother!

Glad to see that you still speak about your dreams with the same drive and passion, Jochen! As teenagers we talked together about the carefree skater nomad life, and you have persevered and pursued your dreams! Proud to see where you are now! Keep catching them big ones!
