Was it 100 feet or wasn’t it? A lot of people have been talking about the size of the giant wave Garrett McNamara rode on January 28, 2013 in Nazaré, Portugal … except Garrett McNamara. Until now.

In this interview, GMac sets the record straight on who said what, who didn’t claim anything, what it’s like to surf the biggest wave ever, and how close he actually came to surfing that big endless barrel in the sky.

1.  Big wave, way to go Garrett.
2.  I've seen lots of video and photos of the big wave in question, I'd guestimate it around 80 feet which is ridiculously huge.
3.  Garrett, you weren't 10 feet from the rocks.
