Mj Davis says:

There is no responsibility in the person behind the camera any more.

Hurley Cape town says:

A South African hero.

Powerlines Productions says:

Noticing some comments about the camera work. Uh sorry, one thing to consider is the cameraman is driving, filming and at times doing rescues so sorry for the shaky camerawork YouTubers but it's pretty sketch just getting that shot solo.

Toby K says:

cameraman was a kook

trav ina says:

Recording skills of someone filming a middle school fight

Mark Bond says:

The way he angled into the ledge from hell- not in my skill set! Mavericks is way heavier than it looks. Good to see the term gnarly still in use, also.

Rincon Rider says:

Amazing Ride and his Leash held

Micah's Surf Videos says:

Brent Anderson says:

now anyone can surf mavericks with the life vests and the wave runner rescue

The Sun says:

If he lives to be an old Man this will be a Video to play and ignite the feelings and emotions of that experience. Great Video

Oliver Townsend says:

He must of got absolutely soaked

Mark Kindermann Art says:

Possibly, but you can't see it because of the worlds worst water cameraman

HKSlays says:

There's been some beasts paddled into over the decades. This is certainly one of them.

Vince Martin says:

That high line he took was SICK! and necessary.

Rich Garcia says:

Simply the most awesome footage of surfing I've ever seen or any sport for that matter…The angle, lighting, sound, awesome ! The surfers and jet skis in the frame, at varied distances, gave tremendous perspective of the size and power of that wave. The falls crashing down, in the top right hand corner of the frame were my favourite part !

aquatic life says:

No. Not the biggest paddle in.

Sspartan Pilot says:

"Professional" camera handling

Jdoggy2448 says:

I still like watching the oldie but goodie video, of him towing in Snips Parsons! That video is sick!!! Twiggy & Snips were badasses together, straight up!

skierbaz says:

That's what you call a drop in – it went on for almost the whole ride 🙂

Ahoyjahman says:

I worked with him on Blue Crush the movie where he made a guest appearance and all he did was take the piss out of the process he had half jack of whiskey that he swigged on and a constant dank rotch pressed between his lips and one weekend he just didn’t show up and instead went to watch South Africa play football, the producer/Director just shrugged his shoulders and “surfers”

Phil Graves says:

Thank God for these guys on the jet skis for without them I don't think people would be inclined to take such monsters.

Mack Hannon says:

Vid:Powerlines.. but then you give YOURSELF a link? Haha.. nuts. And a link to get cash to you too, but no powerlines link? Man you guys suck. Haha.. sellout idiots. Powerlines is a REAL channel. You guys are edging on being imposters who are only interested in monopolizing our passions. This isnt yours. You dont own surfing. Not you nor WSL or Redbull. OR Kelly Slater.. Bunch of Crabs.
Get over it.

keith brock says:

Holy shit!!!
He took the high line that saved his ass!

Evan Hauth says:

Insane maneuver at the top

Tony Stokes says:

That looked hectic.

Sheepsleepdeep says:

Filmer can't let the stoke get to him on the job, have to be more professional than that.
