What do you do about pressure dings? I have to strap my board to my car to drive from my home to the beach 3 to 4 hours away. The straps have to be wrenched down tight so it doesn't make the buzzing sound the whole way. I use Kanulock straps so that I can also keep my board locked on my car if I step away to get a bite to eat after surfing.. They're padded cable straps but you can see where the cable's pressure is making indents where it was laying.
If I have a ding that is a shallow "dent" but has not punctured the glass/resin, do I need to have it repaired? Also, where in Florida are you from I live in Fort lauderdale
I was breaking everyone of these "rules" except for leaving in the car because i was aware of that… Is leaving it in a board bag on top of a car just as bad?
I'm about t buy a surfboard, but i'll use it mainly during summer, bc where I leave there's no beach. It is a cold place(Asturias-Spain) and I don't think I will use it much during winter. What do you recommend me to keep it nice and not too cold or too hot?
Dont know if you just had a blonde moment or forgot haha but it is a good idea to wash your board after a surf and dry it with a towel. The last thing you want is having salt water dry on your board and leave it
Great tips! Glad I'm not the only one who sucks the water out of dings – now I can say it was your idea! (LOL) Fun noodle is a great tip for the rack too (below). Watch the strap buckles too. You guys are the best! Plan to get down there – maybe in the spring.
