It didn’t look surf-able!
Huge, relentless waves battered Los Angeles. It looked like far too brutal of a paddle out for most surfers. Shane Gallas made the 45 minute paddle out to surf a few adrenaline filled waves.
Thanks for watching! I’m Brad Jacobson and I’ll sea ya on the sand.
Great video and storytelling. That guy is a stud! Thanks!
Great no bulshit video. Thanks
does anyone have an idea if these waves are over 6-8ft? or perhaps even 10? the person narrating never mentions size & i'm just curious if these are comparable to Narazeth.
Brad,
I've surfed a lot of spots in my day but this is one I don't recognize. Where was this shot?
Iโd love to ride a ski through these!
Well Shane is on the fuckin nuts/hero list now!! The balls on him..haha
Bro ๐ ๐คฃ ๐ the waves aren't that big! That's an average winter size day up in Northern California….12 hours north of you in Humboldt County ๐
I totally missed it, I am so bummed, I wish there was an app or some sort of reminder that would let me know that the waves crest this big, and to go to the ocean. I know that there are websites, but I sure wish Alexa would just tell me to go
That bloke must have had his porridge that morning! Mortals have no idea what that involves or feels like. I don't think even with the Jetski looking at this footage you get the sense of the scale and size of these waves, as an old bloke who used to surf back in the 80's and 90's and has obviously seen footage of places like Nazare this looks big, but not stupid big. But… no-one else in and only one bloke making it – yeah that's got to be big – really big. Very commendable. Question – are all the beach front houses getting swamped by the waves as well?
That does not look that huge…3x overhead?
F awsome video thank u what beach was this?
