Surf Vest Does Not Hold Up to Ocean This is the second Hyperflex vest that I own that tore itself apart in waves. Meaning that, while surfing, the boardshorts loop that is sewn into the vest ripped out of the vest material. Result: big hole in front of vest; can no longer tie board shorts to vest; vest rides up over face & head while underwater, creating danger as one’s head is enveloped by the rubber vest.I like the vest for the cushion that it provides for my chest while I’m paddling.
