Santa Cruz surfer Alessandro “Alo” Slebir surfed a wave just two days before Christmas that could get him the best gift a surfer could ask for: a world record for surfing the world’s largest wave. Slebir surfed that monster wave at Mavericks near Half Moon Bay that could propel him into the record books!! #bigwave #record #guinnessworldrecords

How big was it? Uh…overhead, about 85 feet overhead.
The wave from jaws a few days before isn't getting enough credit…
That's like 60ft.. it's Maverick's.. It's shot on a huge day.
You will find 100ft waves at Nazaré. For now the only place where those occur.
Americans blowing themselves up again. Chill bro
That is an astonishing wave, but I think larger waves have been ridden at Nazare and Belharra Reef.
Why then does Nazare at a world record height make the rider look like an ant? My guess this wave isn’t 100foot!
Not 100ft. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills with all these people saying this…
Bunch of Nazare simps are losing it… USA! USA! 🎇🎆🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🎆🎇 😂
Just go snowboarding if you are going to towboard! It is not surfing when you are strapped to a towboard and towed into a wave!

Never heard two dudes speak so feminine before I found this channel
There’s no way that wave is 100ft. Everyone is taking the surfer and seeing that the wave is 17x his height in that picture and assuming 6ftx17. He’s crouched and bent over, so if we’re being generous it should be 4.5ftx17, maaaaaaybe 5ftx17, which is still only 75ft
Biggest wave caught at Mavericks probably. Not sure biggest ever
Has laird Hamilton surfed Nazere"
I think I could do the biggest sh*t ever if they got me on that wave
No! The biggest wave ever ridden was ridden by me at Pico Beach on my Ziffy Board age 7 in 1972!
