Great Fishing SUP Iâve been paddling the Blue Heron for a little over a month now â I wanted to wait until I had substantial âpaddle timeâ before I submitted a review. Great board for fishing – super stable I’ve used this board on a total of five different trips in Montana from small warm water ponds, to cold water fisheries like Hyalite and Ennis Lake reservoirs. It can get pretty windy on Hyalite and the board is super stable even on choppy water. My kids often fish from the front or back while I fly fish and I let the wind carry me along the length of the lake. You can double haul easily to cast heavy streamers since the board is wide.
