Lenny is one of the best surfer in the world I don't know what he is talking about he's not a high level surfer… I always comment on his video that he is out of control ๐ this dude ride terrifying wave ๐ฎonly hand full of people dare to surf ๐๐ค
I still have the surf mags from when it was announced he had drowned. I could not eat for 2 days because I had met him. The first time I met him I thought he was rude and angry about mainlanders surfing Hawaii. But he explained why …because so many outsiders had no respect for the Hawaiians. I understood and he and I became friends. Clyde also spoke to me and I understood that Hawaii was never going to be the same because of the magazines and movie coverage. Their islands would never be the same…and they weren't.
He was a spiritual brother to me!
I suspect it's not so much a windsurfing surfing thing but a class thing. When I was a grom surfing all the windsurfers were posh. Kai is extreme though

Its crazy that people dont consider Kai as a surfer…to me he is the most consistent and one of the best surfers ever…and he is still young
what a sham on that wave score… he fully rode out of that hack. (But Toledo's surfing was on fire for the actual heat win!)
Kinda hard not to be jealous of these guys. I'm sure the gloss hides some rough edges, but it sure looks like a hell of a life.

Real surfers know it's never about winning… it's about living. In that moment, feeling it, and capturing that brief time in their lives forever…
Crazy when you know how good Kai is at sport, and then see him vs. Felipe/Liam/Jack for comparison, and realize just how FKN dialed in the WSL leaders are at that style. Itโs truly phenomenal. Hope to see more. Thanks for the vid RB and Kai ๐ค๐๐๐

I came here after watching Surfs Up
The best thing that happened to my drums in Montauk .. Keala Kennelly Paige Alms and Lisa Anderson attended. Watching the Eddie last year was better than any Superbowl .
Seems like such a down to earth dude with so much talent
