Biggest Wave Ever Surfed

In November 2011 at Nazaré, Portugal, extreme waterman and ocean explorer Garrett McNamara managed to surf a mammoth 78-foot wave – the largest ever recorded ride in history. Since taking the official Guinness World Records title for Largest wave surfed (unlimited), Garrett has had to battle back from a near-fatal 50-foot wipeout which left him seriously injured.
