What Was the Tallest Wave Ever Recorded? 🌊😱

Can you imagine a wave so massive that it towered over skyscrapers? It actually happened!

In 1958, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Lituya Bay, Alaska, triggering a massive landslide. Millions of tons of rock crashed into the water, generating an unbelievable 524-meter (1,720 feet) megatsunami—taller than the Empire State Building! 😨

But that’s not even the biggest wave in Earth’s history! Scientists believe that when the Chicxulub asteroid—the one that wiped out the dinosaurs—hit the Yucatán Peninsula 66 million years ago, it created a 1.5-kilometer (4,900 feet) high tsunami that spread across entire oceans! 🌍🌊

This day was Friday 13th, One of the biggest swell ever, and all the David Family were out with all the boys taking care of all the Tow Bombs ! Lucky to make this one, if you watch carefully you can see the steps at the beginning of the wave and how wide is the barrel, i felt like i am in a big cave, felt so little and trying to be one with mother nature, this is the best feeling and the dream place to be as a surfer, I am Grateful for being a part of such an amazing and crazy day of surfing, Thank you Gopro for the best invention !
