The WETSOX team is a group of avid watermen from the North East. Whether we’re surfing, stand up paddling, diving or fishing, we’re spending a lot of time in the water and of course a lot of time in wetsuits. The struggle and frustration of putting on and taking off our cold water gear was a real one so we set out to develop a solution. Our aim was to not only have our products help us get IN and OUT of our cold water gear a whole lot easier, but also extend the life of that gear by eliminating unnecessary stretch and stress. That solution? The WETSOX product line is born.

Reblogged 7 years ago from www.youtube.comttempting to get an update on the oncoming Hurricane Irma from a Florida beach, MSNBC host Alex Witt had a mini-meltdown over a windsurfer still out in the waves behind a wind-blown correspondent urging locals to flee.
Speaking with reporter Mariana Atencio who was standing on a mostly deserted beach in Miami, host Witt began, “Winds have clearly picked up, as has the surf, which means that the storm surge would be approaching.”
As the windsurfer came into the shot frame, Witt was stunned.
“Mariana , before you get reporting, is that somebody kite-surfing behind you? Oh, come on!” she exclaimed.
“That’s exactly what I wanted to show you, Alex” Atencio replied. “This is not the scene that officials here, first responders want to be looking at. Because the storm has shifted slightly west, you’re starting to see people here in Miami Beach — which is under a mandatory evacuation order — doing water sports.”
“There are onlookers taking photos. there are also about a dozen people in front of me. it’s a similar scene over on the other side. this is not, again, what the mayor of Miami Beach who called this a ‘nuclear hurricane,’ wants to be seeing right now,” she continued.
“Can I just ask, are there police or security around to tell people to stay out of the waters?” the concerned Witt asked. “Because we know that they have said once the winds hit a certain speed, and it would look like they have hit them already, that they’re clearing the streets themselves.”
Atencio noted that,” Right now, on this stretch of the beach, I’m not seeing any police around. But I have seen them on every corner of Miami Beach.”
