These Comfo Boots are made for comfort and support, and they’re designed for divers with durable Neoprene, the flexible, insulated wetsuit material. The vulcanized rubber treaded soles are non-slip for slick surfaces, whether it’s kiteboarding, kicking around the reef, or just taking a stroll on the beach.
Our Unigear surf leash strong enough to handle the longest and heaviest of boards, but since it is designed for flatwater paddling it is lightweight and flexible. Its ankle cuff won’t have you feeling like you broke out of prison. It will not snap and keeps you attached to your board no matter how many times you wipe out. The coiled leash and leash connection happily absorb wave impact, eliminates leash drag totally (so no risk of snagging submerged objects) and keeps your leash up on the back of your board and out of the water. Lifetime guarantee.

Day 1, Irma swell shows up.
Reblogged 7 years ago from www.youtube.com16 year old Pro surfer Zander Venezia died on Tuesday as he attempted to surf mega-swell waves caused by Hurricane Irma in Barbados. Venezia, who won the top prize at the Rip Curl GromSearch in North Carolina 2 weeks ago, was said to have Olympic aspirations. According to Stab Magazine, the teenager from Bridgetown, Barbados was with friends and photographers hoping to surf a heavy break known as “Box by Box.” Which is when the tragedy occurred. According to witness reports, Venezia was overturned by a closeout set, and likely hit bottom. Surfers who reached him attempted to perform CPR and Zander was eventually rushed to the hospital, where he was breathing, but not responsive. Shortly before his death, Venezia reportedly told friend and fellow surfer Dylan Graves, “I just got the best wave of my life.” Following the news of his death, friends took to social media to mourn the surfer.
