Biggest Wave Ever Surfed

24 year old Australian Surfer, Ben Linden, was killed by a Great White Shark in Western Australia while he was surfing on the beaches just south of Wedge Island yesterday. 5th Shark Attack recently. This is a popular spot for surfers which is north of Perth.

A witness that was on his jet ski saw what he called a massive, massive, shark attack the surfer. Other surfers have seen this great white shark in the area recently and had named it Brutas because of it’s giant size.

Ben’s girlfriend, Alana Noakes, paid tribute to Ben on his Facebook letting his friends and family know of the shark tragedy. She wrote ” “Ben was the most amazing man, he lit up the lives of all who knew him.”

“He was the most talented, good-natured, beautiful person I’ve ever met. He was the love of my life, my best friend, my rock and my soulmate.”

There were no pictures of the actual shark attack on the man surfing and the number of huge sharks killing people is causing concern.

This is the 5th shark related death in Australia in the last 10 months and there are reports of another shark sighting in north Wedge Island today. The Western Australian government has begun steps to have the protection of white sharks removed as it is becoming a major concern and in addition is said to be affecting tourism.

Local police and volunteers are expected to continue to comb beaches for Linden’s remains, which have yet to be recovered, while beaches in the immediate area will remain closed for at least a few days. Police will kill any big sharks they find over 4 meters in length.

Meanwhile, Swimmers and surfers could reduce the risk of an attack by not entering the water at dawn, dusk or days with overcast.
