Surely you have already heard him name and much more this last week. This is Vinicious dos Santos, the Brazilian who is being talked about a lot, for his right hand surfed one of the last swells of this season of giant waves in Nazaré.
According to many media sources, his wave (along with Lucas Chumbo’s) would surpass Rodrigo Koxa’s world record for the largest wave ever surfed.
Vinicious has been having good seasons in Praia do Norte. Last season a right that I paddling had a lot of repercussion. It was a gigantic wave, with an airdrop that left more than one person without air.
This season he had one of the heaviest wipeouts that left him out of the water for a long time, but that same swell and just a couple of waves prior to that heavy wipeout surfed what was the biggest right of his life .
But will it be enough to dethrone Rodrigo Koxa and to overcome Lucas Chumbo’s GIANT left? The weather… or rather: the specialists will say… At the moment the specialists said that the size of this wave is size 97.3 foot or 29.68 meters. What do you think of the size of this wave? leave your opinion below 👇

Reblogged 2 years ago from www.youtube.comWatch Mason Barnes taking on a massive left-hand wave at Praia do Norte in Nazaré, Portugal.
The surfer from Wilmington, North Carolina, rode this giant wall of water on February 25, 2022, after a huge North Atlantic swell hit the Portuguese coastline.
Barnes was towed into this big wave by Pierre Caley.
“It’s the biggest wave of all time,” and “it surely is the first 100-foot wave ever ridden” are some of the thoughts shared after his viral clip descending the liquid mountains hit the internet.
“It was the biggest left of my life. It was a dangerous, scary day, but we made it happen. I have to thank Pierre and Clément for the tow and safety,” expressed Barnes.
“Nazaré is making my dreams come true. A lot of work went into finding this wave. Finding two guys to trust my life with, a spotter, two jet skis, two sleds, two ropes, and three radios took days of reaching out to everyone I know.”
“These waves take a team, and I’m forever grateful to have the right people in my corner. So next time, I’m pulling in!”
