Every year — for the past 24 years — the Big Wave Challenge has awarded a “Ride of the Year.” It’s a prestigious honor in the world of big wave surfing, like a rake a antlers that will hang on the wall of your den for the rest of your life. And every year — for the past 24 years — the man handing out that award has been Bill Sharp. So, when it comes to picking a list of the greatest big wave rides of all time, this is a credible list.
