Say “aloha” to Abbie Girl, the surfing rescue dog from California, USA. Although she lives in the USA, Abbie is an Australian kelpie, which is a type of sheepdog. She pulled off the longest open-water wave surfed by a dog – a distance of 107.2 m (351 ft 8 in). Abbie has also happily gone skydiving with her owner, Michael Uy (USA)

Business Insider reports, Professional surfer Rodrigo Koxa not only snagged the World Surf League’s annual XXL Biggest Wave Award, but also set the world record for the biggest wave ever surfed.The 38 year-old Brazilian surfer rode the wave in Nazare, Portugal in November. A panel of judges from the league calculated that the wave was approximately 80 feet high. At the award show on Sunday, Koxa said, “I had an amazing dream the night before, where I was talking to myself: ‘You gotta go straight down. You gotta go straight down.’ I didn’t really know what it meant. But I figured somebody was talking to me.”
