The problem is that someone who has surfed for a year or more could still be descrived as a beginner so really they are not beginning. Also intermediates is a very wide category ranging from just above beginner to level to can surf quite good. At Padang Padang Surf Camp we use 5 levels to group surfers, so that we can determine the surf break that will be best for your level on any given day. @PadangPadangSurfCamp
