The process is simple:
1) Pick up your spray paint colours of choice, a sponge (e.g., car wash sponge) and a plastic bag to protect your hand while you paint
2) Decide on a pattern for your spray
3) Apply the spray paint to the sponge and apply to the board evenly
4) Allow 24 hours for the paint to fully dry
5) Use a very light grit wet/dry sand paper to smooth the finish
6) Add a tailpad (if that’s your thing) and go!
7) From YouTube fan, Kalem: ‘I would spray the whole board over with a clear acrylic spray paint with a few coats then lightly sand back with 1200 grade sandpaper, stops the paint scratching and fading over time’ – Thanks Kalem!

Does this make your board heavier?
do you surf with bethnie hamilton and her friend or husband
how much is a surf board
Thats a new carbon wrap!? Oh lord what are u doing
Is it just regular spray paint?
Isn't the paint going to get everywhere after awhile in water or no
Very cool design definitely doing this on my new stick
hi, is it vital to sand the board before you spray paint it, because i want to spray my board my self and i dont want it to be stuffed up if i dont do good job sealing it with the clear spray
thanks
Once you've finished spray painting it like that should you spray like a gloss on top just to seal it?
looks like shit dude…
Interesting technique, I like it!
that board looks pretty crappy, imo…not saying you couldn't do something cool incorporating this technique, but that board aint it
Awesome vid, thanks guys. Was the video sped up or something?
Dude! Gloves bro!
I would have taped off the fin boxes to keep paint out. Grub screws filled with enamel paint ain't so fun.
My favourite type of spray technique is using dishwashing liquid and squirting it however you want and spraying colours over it and then wash off the detergent.
Also stand the board upright, then spray some colours and then flick turps into paint and let it run and blend.
Remember if it's epoxy board use acrylic sprays from car stores to be safe.
And clear gloss sprays will fix it all in place if you're using waterbased paints like poscas or kids paints.
cool, thanks guys!
I would spray the whole board over with a clear acrylic spray paint with a few coats then lightly sand back with 1200 grade sandpaper, stops the paint scratching and fading over time.
Did this to my board but with Posca Pens instead and its holding up perfectly and has a natural fiberglass looking finish to it
Saw this board in real life the other week. Looks killer
