Surfer Rodrigo Koxa Breaks Record For Biggest Wave Ever Ridden

This is the incredible moment that Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa broke the world record for riding the world’s biggest wave ever ridden.

Koxa surfed an 80ft (24.4-metre) wave at Nazare in Portugal on 8 November 2017 and the moment was captured by Newsflare member Pedro Miranda.

Koxa’s record for the highest wave ever surfed was confirmed at the 2018 Big Wave Awards that took place this weekend in Los Angeles.

Lame. He was on part of the wave, but rode almost entirely on the side, which was hardly a record breaker. This is like saying since I was surfing on the ocean at the same time, I rode that wave.
