I learned how to surf when I was probably 10 in some lesson in Hawaii. They never taught us how to duck dive, so when this huge wave came we all would get off our boards and try to go under the wave, but the board would drag us to the top, and take us all the way to very sharp rocks never doing that again.

Copped 4 in a row on a 1.5 x overhead day yesterday, felt like I was hit by a bus and was so out of breath. I can surf up to 8 foot Hawaiian (Triple x overhead) but still those 3 to 5 foot days like yesterday can really punish you when things go wrong. Can only imagine how gnarly and scary it gets on 15 foot plus days,
