Surfing Jaws on a soft top (wavestorm)

Although Jaws is not a place to be messing around, I just wanted to see if it was possible to catch a wave on a wavestorm. You never know until you go.

What board would you recommend for an intermediate surfer like me? I can ride up to 8-foot waves (greenface), but idk if my wavestorm is good for me. I am 5'7 and only weigh about 110 pounds, so I physically don't have the strength to duck-dive that 8-foot board (it's too buoyant for me to push under the water). So do you recommend a smaller type of surfboard?

I can barely surf, but I can boogieboard. I tried to surf chun's reef north shore on a day with like ten foot faces. It didn't look that big from the highway. I got worked that day.
