Low priced minimalist shoe I’ve been a long time user of minimalist shoes. I started the transition using Nike Free 3.0, then moved on to Merrell Trail Glove 1 and Merrell Sonic Glove. I was looking for replacements. I looked at the new Merrell’s and wasn’t impressed. There were changes to a thicker sole with cushion which defeats the purpose of a minimalist shoes. Then were reviews questioning the construction and durability. I found these and the price was a ⅓ of the price of Merrells…

Strong revision of the older BK30 Tesla shoe. I really liked the TF-BK30 revision shoes before buying these BK31’s. You can see the holes I wore into the BK30’s, and how they have faded after 7-8 months of wear. The insoles were replaced with cederna/zederna insole inserts to help with foot odor.You can see some of the construction/assembly changes when you have these shoes side by side. This should help cut down on some of the holes that form, but the shoe ends up looking a bit goofier. More rounded edges, more glue, mushroom…
