Wipeouts never get old. Performance surfing grows by leaps and bounds every year, but eating shit has essentially remained the same for decades. But we never, ever tire of watching it and hearing the stories behind it. Because, and here’s the thing: surfers are generally horrible when it comes to talking about their own surfing. But they are amazing when recounting almost dying. Not sure why, but it’s true.

I can't imagine how scary and dangerous wiping out on these. I wiped out this summer body boarding on a 8 foot wave and that split my toe open and I got sent right back to shore and my board broke. I thought that was bad but that's nothing compared to this
fuck all this kids saying that these wipeouts aren't bad or wouldnt hurt, these waves can fucking kill you easily. get outta here if you dont know anything about surfing

I Live in Pennsylvania so… The fact that people wanna ride these monster waves baffles me! I would die of fear in waves half of the size of the ones in this video. Much respect to you fearless psychopaths out riding these things!

Surfers should use those inflatable things that snow skiers use if they get caught in an avalanche.
