I hope you're not subscribing to this global warming nonsense through increasing co2, shown to be utter nonsense. We are entering a grand solar minimum. Check Adapt 2030 and do your own research. I do feel for these islanders though.
What's sad is the energy companies influence has so corrupted people's belief in science that you can find people literally swept away in floods and burning up in massive wildfires that still swear that climate change can't be real, and even if it was true that nothing can be done about it. Meanwhile here comes the next bottleneck for our species.
surfers are (generalisation major) such hypocrites when it comes to the environment they say they love – and the SIC in particular. Air travel instead of local breaks; package tours into the Indian Ocean, and lets not talk about resins and plastics. Mass Consumption surfing is a huge part of this problem.

If the sea has risen over 10' in the Solomon Islands then can someone please explain why it hasn't risen in San Diego?
