Another "Jaws" how original. I can never understand how, what I thought were intelligent people, like Blake Lively for example, can sign up for such crap. But I guess it's all about money. We all, or at least the smart people among us, know that of all the potentially dangerous animals, sharks and wolfs kill the least amount of people. Over many years it has never been more than 10 people per year and yet, Hollywood, or whoever, is still making money with crap like "The Shallows". Domestic dogs kill at least 6 times as many people as sharks do. Have there ever been movies about that? How about crocodiles and the 1000 people they kill per year? Or elephants and lions that kill about 100 people every year? For those who like to play a part in crap movies and those who like to watch people get killed by animals, it must be a hay-day to watch a lion munching on a person or watch an elephant trample a human to pulp. I find it disgusting and I only watched this crap so that I can honestly call it crap when people talk about it. Sharks are totally different than what Hollywood wants to make us believe. I know a little bit about them because I have been in the water with them over 150 times. From white sharks, tiger sharks, hammerheads, bull sharks or oceanic white-tips, I have been in the water with them; no cage nor weapons and not one of them has ever tried to harm me. They are intelligent, highly developed and sometimes even playful animals, which are very important in the ocean. They keep our live support system – the oceans – healthy but they don't eat people. Of course they are wild animals and sometimes they bite and more rarely they kill. Of course they do. But what those crap movies like "The Shallows" do is, to make them look like man eaters and that is very far from the truth.
