SUP richie says:

Mark Schnug says:

I guess that's great for a handful of elite pro surfers who are friends with Kelly. As for me, tomorrow I'll be surfing at Nland in my home town of Austin, which is open to the public. So grateful to have a surf park in my back yard!

MrScottyMillz says:

Is the water Mountain Dew?

droneified says:

That's awesome. Great way to practice ??‍♀️

Matheus Castello says:

This was before JBay right? Cuz Kelly is surfing 😛

Ganyang Malingsial says:

I hope kelly will never invite Jordy Smith to his party surf pool!

Hey Potts! How come nobody was stepping close to the nose to slow down? I see everybody standing mainly on their tail pad & dragging a hand or their ass. If your statement was true, then why didn't Bethany Hamilton use your technique to slow when she was riding backside? She could've grab her front rail with her right hand instead of dragging it.

Simon B says:

WSL became very businesslike and trying to make surfing into a world class sport. All 35 million surfers in the world that arent getting paid from WSL are hating it and complaining that it shudnt be run by people that never surf but truth be told there arent that many other options available and even if there were no one will listen to us. It is what it is but whatever gets the lineups in the ocean to go away for people who simply wanna surf without making money or doing it for fame, people just surfing cuz its what we njoy and live for, then ill be happy. Make all these fake wave pools costing millions to build and hundreds to ride and has no thrill no feeling of the ocean which WSL leaders just dont get as long as the lineups thin out:) (and im 20 and do accounting full time so i can fly places 2 surf and shred in jersey at least once a day)

Spot the idiot at 1:11

NevillTV says:

Hmmmm… I wonder if my 9'0 could handle this wave.

Pine Ocean World says:

I'm guessing they'll be building something for Japan 2020 Olympics.

Mike Sushi says:

When does the general public get to surf it.

Louis Anthony says:

Looks awesome! I would love to surf a wave pool like that. I personally like the unpredictability of the ocean, you never know what to expect when the ocean wave starts pushing you. But it would be nice to not have to think about the danger elements that surfing in the ocean brings such as currents, sharks etc…

jgmopar says:

So is wave pool just meant to tease or is this thing ever going to be ridden by people other than a select group of pro's?

James Chalmers says:

It might be perfect shape, etc. but they all still have to wear wetties! Looks freezing

ChrisDavenport Shoots says:

Can we please get rob machado on this wave please

MrJkyllHyd says:

I prefer the unpredictability of the ocean versus constant perfect waves. It'll get boring after a while. I won't watch any WSL events that will have pro surfers competing in a wave pool. It will just take the excitement away for me.

Lucas Devlin says:

Rumor has it Kelly Slater bums Jon Jon regularly on the tour

Mark Smith says:

You should light it up under the water for night surfing too!
