While we don’t typically associate cities with world-class waves, there are a handful of cities around the globe that offer all the comforts and conveniences of modern life, right next to amazing waves. This video takes a look at some of these places! As always, thanks for the support guys! I look forward to sharing more videos 🙂

Let me know your experiences with surfing in these cities, and any other epic surfing cities!!
Cape town has more murders than any city in the world, it sucks dont go there
Glad you didn't include Santa Cruz, California on that list. It means you are not aware of the waves north and south of there nor some of the spots in the city that are rarely mentioned in print or seen on video.
Lima was a great place to live.
Dan, Mate, you unfortunately forgot MARGATE in KENT…. How dare. You?
San Diego, Bilbao, San Francisco should all be on the list. Nyc could deserve a shout
On another issue, just saw Nathan Florence’s latest video, and he scored Lances right with about 4 guys out,got more crowded later but definitely not 50.Same with Koa Rothman, 4 guys out at first then crowded, so not everywhere has 50 guys out all the time
The Gold Coast starts at the NSW border,so Coolangatta is part of the Gold Coast, .I think you are calling Surfers Paradise the Gold Coast, but it is just part of it
Thanks Dan!
Love your stuff 10X. But I’m going to troll you for lumping LA, San Diego, OC, and the north swell spots in Santa Barbara into one surf city. Come on bro!! Give California two designations on this list 😊
(And keep up the great content)
good stuff mate! I would like to add Porto, Portugal and Florianopolis, Brazil to that list. Those are great cities to live as surfer too.
I just have to take this chance to tell you how much I've enjoyed your book you did a fantastic job my friend especially for your first crack at it I really hope that you have another in the works really appreciate you Dan the Man keep em coming Be well and Safe travels 👍🤙🏻
As a San Diegan, I love proper surf cities and I've been to all these except Sydney. Tokyo is very underrated as a surf city, you can get to the beach (Shonan) very easily via train and surfboards are welcome onboard as long as they're in a bag. If you live in between Shonan and Tokyo, it's 30 minutes to each via train.
Stoked! Another Harmon video…
