Surely you have already heard him name and much more this last week. This is Vinicious dos Santos, the Brazilian who is being talked about a lot, for his right hand surfed one of the last swells of this season of giant waves in Nazaré.
According to many media sources, his wave (along with Lucas Chumbo’s) would surpass Rodrigo Koxa’s world record for the largest wave ever surfed.
Vinicious has been having good seasons in Praia do Norte. Last season a right that I paddling had a lot of repercussion. It was a gigantic wave, with an airdrop that left more than one person without air.
This season he had one of the heaviest wipeouts that left him out of the water for a long time, but that same swell and just a couple of waves prior to that heavy wipeout surfed what was the biggest right of his life .
But will it be enough to dethrone Rodrigo Koxa and to overcome Lucas Chumbo’s GIANT left? The weather… or rather: the specialists will say… At the moment the specialists said that the size of this wave is size 97.3 foot or 29.68 meters. What do you think of the size of this wave? leave your opinion below 👇

#100footwaves #nazarébigwaves #biggestwaveever
Reblogged 2 years ago from www.youtube.com
The biggest wave was surfed by portuguese teenager António Laureano, in 2020
There are NO '100 foot waves'! Quit showing these waves and claiming they are anywhere near 100 foot! Maybe 50 or 60 foot, or at most 70 foot, is all I see in any of these so called '100 foot' waves. You can't count the trough in front of the wave as part of it. You need to get closer to sea level to judge the actual height of a wave. You can't get a true perspective from a high vantage point like the one in all these videos… sorry
Lame footage. No great shots. Dubious whether he even captured the highest wave.
Many beautiful and massive waves, but I don't see any record settling rides; not in this video ~
A 2m swell will put most desk jockeys who breast stroke a pool into a world of hurt. Yeah those faces are 30m, but the shape and form of the swell has a lot to do with what the rider can do with it. That white stuff is all air, those rolling tops might not look as threatening as a barrelling lip, but if it catches the rider, it's no less dangerous as he sinks 10m into a white abyss…
Whether a record or not, one can not answer to what we've seen with a yes or no, it's not a matter of a record, it's really beyond what most people on youtube or the planet can actually do… It's like riding large skate ramps, they make it look easy until you realise the average person doest even have the strength in the legs to get air…
Yes, no, don't care, it is awesome humans doing awesome things. Please correct the gamma so we can see better detail.
Não vi a tal onda!
Fake News!
That's over 100ft! Sorry HBO!
When you pause @1:56 you can REALLY see the size and power of these waves, a lot of other angles don't do it justice!! When you're there and it's a massive swell you can literally feel the ground rumble under your feet, that's insane !!!…
These guy's and gal's have got bigger balls than all the Kardashians combined!! 😂😂😂✌
A última é interstelar!
No record can ever be calculated from above , especially from way up on a cliff. You just can't. It's sea level or nothing. I'm glad we're finally calling waves by their faces, but enough is enough. By the old Hawaiian standard….I didn't see anything over 25ft in this vid and most of those fizzled with the white water of a 10-15 ft wave. This is not to take away from the majesty of Nazare….we shot ourselves in the foot over calling waves by their open water swell height or the fking BACK of the waves and confused the world into thinking that surfers never rode many waves over 15 ft. Now that towing started calling waves by their face height, we still have throwbacks calling a triple overhead wave 8ft. Doesn't make us look too smart. As for the waves in this film……I SURE wouldn't want to be caught inside:)
I want to learn to surf, but I don't wanna mess with anything that's looks like that.
Nice waves, huge. Random images. Zero information if you're not a complete insider. Another surf video. Mais um video de surf. Imagens.. imagens.. ondas.. legal, galera!!
👏👏👏👏👏
Last wave is amazing.
I wasn't ser anything.
Bad conditions or not, you simply cannot deny the gargantuan testicle size on display, by both surfer and jet skier
Well out on the shoulder were most of these surfers are they are max 25-35 ft, lets not pretend otherwise. Only a handful of surfers/watermen(women) does this place justice. Most of the rest are just wasting these precious gifts from mother nature.
AMAZING INTERSTELLAR WAVE !!!
I believe it would've been the last wave that was ridden, it was a monster and didn't even fit in the screen.
Check out Bobby's channel. Former semi-pro surfer broke his neck, but found a way to make videos from his friend's footage Mix of pro surfers and some pretty hot locals in San Diego .https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuZij6Crl5xi0QauItvB9gQ
40-60 feet at best. Just crumbling slop. Not even close too 100 feet which, in all reality, can only be confirmed from the side, not face-on.
Só podem ser doidos kkkk
Não foi a maior onda surfada. Já vi várias maiores…..
Which was the big wave? They all looked like crap to me!! is it raining there, or is the amount of spray in the air just obscuring the view.
It just doesn't look good this day. Overcast, messy and mushy!!
Wow.. huge waves, so powerful
