Biggest Wave Ever Surfed

Puerto Escondido – THE BIGGEST SWELL OF THE YEAR 2022. Playa Zicatela aka the Mexican Pipeline went XL on August 18, 2022 and Maria Fernanda was there to capture all the action in 4K.

Nathan Florence and Grant Twiggy Baker were among the several standouts during the early morning session. This swell was significantly bigger than THE CODE RED II swell that hit Tahiti in July. It was also bigger than Hurricane Frank. This swell offered up the best day of the year in Puerto Escondido and pulled in bigger surf than the Outerknown Tahiti Pro by WSL
